DIET
The diet consists principally of small vertebrates, insects, eggs and fruit which it also eats now and then.
REPRODUCTION
Births take place mainly during the rainy season from November to May and the dominant female tends to have three litters. Gestation lasts 49-56 days and the average number of offspring per litter is four. Juveniles join the group at around six months old. Full sexual maturity is not reached until the age of three
CURIOSITIES
The group consists of a dominant female and her maternal lineage. Breeding pairs are monogamous, with the male being the second most dominant member. The group has its functions divided into caring for and teaching the young.
