Temperate Rainforest
A path winding between trees that do not completely lose their leaves at any time of year, takes us amongst pines, holm oaks and cork oaks, along with strawberry bushes, rockrose and many types of aromatic plants. A stream accompanies us throughout our walk, also favouring the growth of creeper plants such as honeysuckle, or trees as curious as the Tamarisk (Tamarix gallica) with flowers in pink clusters.
Observing closely and listening in silence we will notice the presence, protected by the thickness of the forest, of various indigenous species of birds that have made this Mediterranean forest their source of food and shelter. In this ecosystem, we may observe cervids such as red brocket and muntjac deer and colourful birds such as African cranes, pheasants and emus, these last related to the ostrich.
