SENEGAL BUSHBABY


CHARACTERISTICS
From head to body it is between 8 and 20cm long Its weight ranges from 95 to 244 grams. Prehensile hands and feet. Mobile auricles with which it can hear even the flight of a moth. It lives in small family groups which sleep in a pile during the day.
DIET
Insects it can catch in the air or sap from the trees.
REPRODUCTION
The gestation period is approximately 4 months.
CURIOSITIES
It can jump vertically up to 5 metres in the best of cases. It keeps its prehensile hands and feet moistened with urine to favour grip. Its back legs are slightly more developed than the front legs to favour jumping.
