- Takes place during the time of greatest abundance of food, which in nature is during the rainy season.
They lay between 20 to 50 oval-shaped eggs that measure approximately 66 by 34 cm., and which will be buried in a hole of 15 to 30 cm. depth and dug by the female, or deposited in the hollow trunk of a tree.
