- Although they have a wide variety of vocal and visual signals, the sense of smell predominates, both for locating food as well as for social communication.

- REPRODUCTION
- They tend to have two litters, with 2-3 pups each, every year. When they carry their young, they do so by gripping them around the neck with their mouths.
- CURIOSITIES
- Their semi-retractile claws enable them to climb tree trunks with agility and they do not like to descend to the ground.
In Spain they were introduced by the Arabs during the conquest, who had them as “pets”, they helped to catch rodents.
