- It has a wingspan of 60 cm.
It is one of the few bat species from the old world that inhabits caves.
They guide their flight thanks to echolocation and also have good sight, unlike what you may imagine

- Frugivorous: leaves, fruits and flowers.
- REPRODUCTION
- The females give birth to just one offspring (although on occasions they may have twins). The gestation period lasts approximately 4 months.
The female carries the offspring for some 6 weeks.

- They were first discovered at the great Gizeh pyramid and are present on the hieroglyphic inscriptions
Echolocation is based on the emission of echoes which bounce off the object, identifying it as prey, predator or obstacle.
