
- CHARACTERISTICS
- Of black lead-like colour, with small ears and thick tail.
It is the largest viverrine, reaching up to 2 metres in length from snout to tail and weighing up to 14 Kilos.
It has larger nails on its back feet than on its front feet in order to dig.

- Omnivorous, with a preference for meat: lizards, rodents, spiders and insects. As well as fruits and berries

- Not of a seasonal nature.
The females give birth to 2 or 3 offspring during a gestation period of 90 days.

- The female has a pseudo-penis similar to that of the hyenas
They have been domesticated and are very protective towards children.
They have been hunted for their skin and for eastern medicinal purposes.
