CHARACTERISTICS
They measure up to 58 cm. in length. Their weight ranges from 2 to 4 Kg.
DIET
Krill and fish.
REPRODUCTION
The clutch consists of two eggs. One of the eggs, the first, is 25% smaller than the second. The second egg is laid 4 days after the first. Normally a chick is only achieved from the larger egg.
CURIOSITIES
Usually in the four days that it takes the second egg to emerge, the first one disappears, it is not known why. It is aggressive, as the Great Skua tends to attack its nests. It receives its name due to the rocky areas of the coast it lives in.
