SAKI MONKEY


CHARACTERISTICS
It measures 30 to 48 cm. The males weigh almost 2 kilos and the females are a little lighter. It is one of the monkeys with the most marked sexual differences, the male has a white or golden face with a brown body and the female is greyish. The typical group is made up of a male, a female and from 1 to 3 offspring.
DIET
Leaves as well as seeds and nuts. Although they may eat insects, above all ants.
REPRODUCTION
It gives birth to one baby in the spring.
CURIOSITIES
The male and the female maintain vocal communication, which reinforces their links and maintains their territoriality.
