Boa Constrictor


CHARACTERISTICS
They can reach up to 4 metres in length. Their colours and patterns serve the purpose of blending in to their surroundings for camouflage. They can open their mouths wide enough to swallow huge prey, in addition they are constrictors. They are mainly nocturnal.
DIET
Wide variety of mammals and birds.
REPRODUCTION
They can have from 6 to 50 babies per litter. They are ovivivparous, they come out on their own after breaking the membrane that surrounds them.
CURIOSITIES
They tend to have both tree-dwelling and terrestrial habits. Newborn boas fend for themselves.
