Island

Island is a natural enclosure which recreates a brook clearing in a tropical forest.  It is a real delight for the senses to enjoy this “Mazama Island” where curious South American species such as the red brocket deer, the mara and the capybara, the largest rodent in the world, all live.  This enclosure is divided into three islands which host the homes of each of these species, thereby combining the brook area in which the red brockets lives, the river in which we can see the capybara swim and the prairies preferred by the mara.
