REPRODUCTION
Once the web has been made in the shape of a funnel, more popularly known as a sperm web, the male inserts the sperm into a species of capsule which will serve to fill the deposits on the end of the pedipalps.
Once here, the male will immobilise the chelicerae of the female with the tibial spurs and will push her backwards, inserting the sperm deposits from the pedipalps into her seminal receptacle.
If all has gone well, within a few weeks the female will weave a species of egg where she will deposit up to 2000 little tarantulas which she will energetically protect.
CURIOSITIES
When mating is finished the male retires quickly because sometimes the female can get very aggressive and could end up killing the male.
