BRAZILIAN RED TARANTULA


CHARACTERISTICS
Females live for 14 to 16 years as a general rule and can reach up to 15cm in length. Males live for 4 to 5 years as a general rule and measure approximately 13cm in length.
DIET
Invertebrates.
REPRODUCTION
There do not tend to be any problems, although in some cases the female has devoured the male. Generally, the female accepts the male and the process lasts around 3 minutes. Once fertilised, in approximately 3 months she will make the sac within which she will deposit between 400 and 600 eggs, maybe more and these will hatch 3 month after that.
