
- CHARACTERISTICS
- There are various types:
English or American: they have short, straight hair. They can be of various colours (white, black, brown, red, sandy or cream) and can have more than one colour.
Abyssinian: have rough, wiry hair in whirls forming rosettes.
Peruvian or Angoran: have long hair which reaches various centimetres in length.

- All types of seeds and vegetables.
- REPRODUCTION
- They can reproduce at any time of year, have 2 to 4 young per litter and their period of gestation lasts some two months
- CURIOSITIES
- The guinea pig was originally domesticated in Peru for its use as food, and in Peruvian, Bolivian, Ecuadorian and Southern Colombian gastronomy it continues to be much appreciated and of greatest importance for this use
