CHARACTERISTICS
It is an animal of small size, with arched horns, very agile and adapted to jumping and climbing. Its distribution is widespread and it can be found all over the world, principally in mountainous areas.
DIET
Herbivorous ruminant.
REPRODUCTION
After 5 months gestation, the female gives birth to one or two kids, once a year.
CURIOSITIES
Goats are bred for their milk (frequently used in the production of cheeses), meat, skin and hair. Some breeds are bred to thereafter be especially dedicated to the production of fibre (hair) such as the Angora, originally from Turkey (Angora was the old name for Ankara) and likewise the Cashmere.
