AFRICAN DONKEY


CHARACTERISTICS
Robust body, large ears and moderately long tail with hair that reaches at least half way down the back legs. They are very well covered with short hair. They have a mane on the head and neck. The mane is short, thin and erect, while the tail is similar to a tress.
DIET
Sobre todo pastos y ramoneo.
REPRODUCTION
The reproductive season of the wild populations is restricted to the wet season each year. The gestation period lasts around a year and they can reproduce every year.
CURIOSITIES
In general they are very sociable animals and in the wild they can be found in herds of up to 100 animals. They are active by day and by night, although preferably they are active in the afternoons and at night. In general they are not aggressive, but they can cause considerable damage with kicks from their back legs or bites.
